Bundle of Joy is a Postpartum Doula service providing in home care for families in Austin, Texas and the surrounding communities. We feel it is important for families to start out with confidence in their abilities as new parents and with reverance for the new life in the home.

"What is a Postpartum Doula?"
The role of a Postpartum Doula is to help a woman through the postpartum period and to support family. We focus not only on the baby but on fostering independence for the entire family. We are available for family support which includes helping the father, partner, or older children find their evolving new role in the family. The family unit stays connected and grows stronger with the help of a Postpartum Doula nurturing the family.
The Postpartum Doulas duties may include but are not limited to:
Breastfeeding support &/or help with feeding issues
New mother companionship & emotional support
Facilitating skin-to-skin newborn care
New mother comfort and self care support
Dietary and Hydration education and assistance
Teaching Infant Care and Light baby massage
Cooking highly nutritional meals
Shopping
Light House Cleaning
Infant care while mother bathes, eats, naps, etc..
Other childcare
Laundry
Preparing homemade baby food (for infants over 4 months)
Organizing
Setting up the nursery or sleeping area
Referrals to specialists & support groups as needed
Care for siblings during birth
On call service for sibling care during labor
